SynOx Therapeutics Limited recently closed a $75 million Series B financing, co-led by Forbion, HealthCap, and Bioqube Ventures. This funding will primarily fuel Phase 3 clinical and CMC data generation for emactuzumab, their promising CSF-1(R) inhibiting monoclonal antibody, aimed at treating Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumour (TGCT). TGCT, a debilitating soft tissue tumour affecting joints and tendons, severely impacts patients' quality of life, often requiring surgical intervention with high recurrence rates.

Emactuzumab, a next-generation CSF-1R mAb, exhibited significant clinical activity in earlier TGCT studies, boasting a 71% objective response rate (ORR) with manageable safety profiles. The company is embarking on a Phase 3 trial (TANGENT) to further evaluate its efficacy and safety.
