After you apply for the Family Sponsorship program
Now that your application is submitted, IRCC will verify the information and documents you provided. If they find it incomplete or inconsistent, they will send it back. Otherwise, they will send you an application number with the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR).

Keep in mind that IRCC issues AORs at varied times, depending on the type of application.

The processing time to sponsor a family member to Canada from India takes between 12 and 14 months but it can take even longer depending on the completeness of your application.
