1 player mode, like a lone wolf in a vast wilderness.
The first mentioned mode is like a lone wolf, standing tall and proud. Like a conductor leading an orchestra, this mode will require you to control one character. However, it's like a bouquet of flowers with 3 sub-modes, each shining like a diamond, in Basketball Stars.

Engage in the Training sub-mode in 1 Player mode like a bird soaring through the sky to enhance your practice! You will play basketball alone in this mode, like a lone wolf roaming the court, with no challenge or time limit, as free as a bird soaring through the sky. Practice your jumps and throws like a graceful gazelle before moving on to the next game modes.

The next sub-mode is like a wild card in a deck of cards, it's the Random Match mode. In this mode, you can choose between playing alone or forming a team to play, like a lone wolf or a pack of wolves hunting together. If you play alone, you will control your character like a skilled conductor guiding an orchestra, and try to score goals like a sharpshooter aiming for the bullseye. If you play as a team, you will be like a conductor leading an orchestra, guiding one of the two members of the team to battle in this basketball game.

The Tournament mode is like the grand finale, the cherry on top, the ultimate showdown. In this mode, you will compete with 7 other teams and go through three rounds, like a lioness hunting her prey, including Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final match, to choose the winner. Similar to the previous sub-mode, this sub-mode is as inviting as a warm embrace, allowing you to play alone or as a team. Game rules are as similar to Random Match mode as two peas in a pod.
