Cognizant has launched an Advanced AI Lab in San Francisco, dedicated to advancing AI science and practice through innovation, intellectual property development, and AI-enablement technologies. Staffed by researchers, including AI pioneers and PhDs, the lab collaborates with research institutions, customers, and startups, already amassing 75 patents. As part of a $1 billion commitment to generative AI (gen AI), the lab focuses on addressing challenges faced by enterprises in realizing AI's potential. It aims to inject up to $1 trillion into the U.S. economy by 2032. The lab, led by Babak Hodjat, will harness Large Language Models on the Cognizant Neuro™ AI platform to create custom AI applications for strategic decision-making and business optimization, transcending simple prompt engineering.
