Rash driving and road rage leads to accidents and mishaps. Why do you want to get involved in rash driving when you can easily avoid the miscreant on the road and drive safely? Well, there is no definite answer to this. At times, we tend to get bugged by the other cars on the road and their illogical behaviour drives us nuts and we end up getting involved in rash driving. Picture this: you are on your way to attend an important meeting but the car in front of you is driving too slowly. In spite of repeated honking, the driver refuses to budge. And due to his unnecessary slow driving, you got stuck in two red signals thereby getting delayed. Out of anger you decide to overtake him and while you do that, you roll down the car window and shout at him. To make sure that the driver cannot follow you, you hit on the accelerator and increase the speed. This nothing but rash driving. When you were shouting at him, you became a part of road rage as well. In short, the entire situation went out of hand. You could have easily avoided it.

Rash driving and road rage can happen anytime and it can happen even to the best ...
... of the drivers. No matter how calm you are there are times when you fail to remain calm and give in to the rage.

Why are We Recommending Not to Give in to Road Rage and Rash Driving?
The ultimate end to rash driving and road rage is generally an accident or a severe mishap on the road where public property gets damaged.

Scenario 1:
If you end up in an accident you are bound to get hurt and many others are also going to get hurt. The car against which your car got bumped will be damaged. The traffic police will rush to the scene and depending on the condition of all the hurt people, the police will call the ambulance and will make sure that everyone gets the necessary medical attention. Since, you are to be blamed for the mishap, you will have to bear the medical expenses of all the parties involved. At the same time, you have to pay the amount for repairing the damaged car as well. You are not only hurt but you have to bear financial consequences as well. Is this what you want?

Scenario 2:
Thankfully, you did not hurt anyone in the mishap but you did damage public property. Again, the traffic police will inspect the entire scenario and will note down the entire scene and will ask you to pay a fine for the damage done. If the outcome is severe, you may be asked to go to the local police station where an FIR will be submitted against you and you have to bear the entire expense for fixing the public property. This is nothing short of humiliation and a major blow to your image. You can easily avoid this by not getting involved in rash driving or road rage. A momentary action on your part can prove to be costly in the long run.

How to Drive in A Safe and Sound Manner?
Driving in a safe and sound manner is not a difficult task. As long as you follow the protocol and stick to the guidelines, you will be safe. Below are some guidelines that you should always follow:

Follow the speed limit at all times. You neither drive too fast nor too slowly. Make sure that you never exceed the speed limit.
Follow the traffic signals at all times. Do not jump a red signal. You will end up in an accident.
If you have a meeting to attend or need to be somewhere within a particular time frame, start early from home. Don’t start last minute and then drive fast to make up for the time lost.
Always use the indicators and brake lights as and when necessary. When you are using these two lights you are conveying your next course of action to the other drivers and they will adjust their driving accordingly.
Do not honk unnecessarily. You should avoid honking near a school, hospital and places of worship. Follow this decorum at all times.
You will come across different types of drivers on road - some good, some bad. Learn from the good and avoid the bad. Do not give in to road rage or rash driving even when the other driver instigates you. Let him win. In the long run, it is you who is going to be thankful for taking the right decision.

Summing it Up:
Being a responsible driver does not require much. Use your common sense while driving and stick to all the instructions that you were taught in the driving school Indooroopilly. Keep in mind that if you are involved in unlawful activities, the concerned authorities can cancel your license. And if this is done, you will never be able to drive again. Be a good driver, the world need more of such people.
