Affidea Group, Europe's largest provider of advanced diagnostics, is set to acquire MedEuropa Romania, a prominent cancer care provider, in a binding agreement. MedEuropa Romania operates four medical centers across the country, known for their expertise in advanced cancer care, including Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, and broader oncology services. The acquisition will integrate MedEuropa's services into Affidea's existing diagnostic and polyclinic portfolio in Romania, enhancing its capabilities and adding radiotherapy services. This move addresses the significant impact of cancer in Romania, with around 100,000 people diagnosed annually. Affidea aims to stand alongside the National Health System, working towards comprehensive cancer care pathways from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up, ultimately improving outcomes for patients.
