Hyundai Group Tops Iihs Safety Awards

Hyundai Motor Group has been recognized by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) for its outstanding performance in the 2024 TSP/TSP+ awards. This achievement highlights the Group's strong commitment to safety.

"We are thrilled to be acknowledged as the top automaker in the IIHS 2024 TSP/TSP+ awards," stated Brian Latouf, President and Global Chief Safety and Quality Officer at Hyundai Motor Group. "Safety is a core value in our vehicle designs, and we are proud to have 16 of our models recognized for their safety features."

Hyundai Motor and Genesis tied for second place overall within the Group, with Hyundai Motor receiving seven awards (two TSP+ and five TSP), Genesis earning seven awards (three TSP+ and four TSP), and Kia receiving two awards (one TSP+ and one TSP).

Among the TSP+ winners for Hyundai Motor were the KONA small SUV and IONIQ 6 midsize electric car, while TSP winners included the ELANTRA small car, IONIQ 5 and TUCSON small SUVs, PALISADE midsize SUV, and SANTA CRUZ small pickup truck.

For Genesis, TSP+ winners included the Electrified G80 large luxury car, GV60 small SUV, ...
... and GV80 midsize luxury SUV (models built after August 2023). TSP winners included the G80 and G90 large luxury cars, as well as the Electrified GV70 and GV70 (built after November 2023) midsize luxury SUVs.
