World's First Resilient SIM, rSIM Launches In Partnership With Global Connectivity Giants Deutsche Telekom And Tele2

Network connectivity for mobile internet and Internet of Things devices has advanced significantly with the introduction of the rSIM® (Resilient SIM). The rSIM® was created in partnership with international carriers Deutsche Telekom IoT and Tele2 IoT. It uses proprietary technologies to automatically check its network connectivity and easily switch between providers in case of outages. This novel method ensures continuous internet access, offers two separate mobile operator profiles on a single SIM card, and reduces the chance of disconnection during outages.

The rSIM® offers two levels of resilience: smooth roaming beyond the device's home country and a proactive solution for continuous connectivity. It can transition to a backup operator profile when an interruption is detected. The Connectivity Management Platform, which lets users watch real-time connection tests from any SIM independent of the linked mobile operator profile, is one way that the intelligence of the rSIM® is ...
... demonstrated.

As the first connectivity partners for the rSIM®, Deutsche Telekom IoT and Tele2 IoT offer distinct operator profiles within their group to provide real resilience on a worldwide level. By fusing proprietary technology with state-of-the-art SIM innovation, this partnership seeks to improve consumer experience while better serving mobile operators.

A global SIM technology provider is in charge of the rSIM®'s product development and manufacturing, giving GSMA compliance a priority to maximize compatibility between operators and devices. Furthermore, over-the-air updates for rSIMs are made possible by supported SIM systems, guaranteeing continued functioning and flexibility.

Following a string of noteworthy network disruptions, the rSIM® launch underscores the growing demand for robust connectivity solutions. Unplanned downtime has increased in frequency as Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) move from 2G and 3G to 4G and 5G networks. Recent disruptions have affected millions of people and vital services. In order to mitigate connectivity outages and related disturbances, the rSIM® offers a real-time solution.

The increasing dependence on the Internet of Things and the growing effects of network disruptions across businesses are highlighted by Richard Cunliffe, Director of Product and Innovation at rSIM®. With 7 billion cellular IoT connections predicted by 2033, the rSIM® provides an essential solution to protect crucial industries from connectivity disruptions, including Telecare and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

Because of its novel approach to standards compliance, the rSIM® is able to adapt to changing GSMA standards and will be compatible with SGP.32 requirements by 2025. This interoperability is especially important since it enables eSIM remote provisioning and improves connection for Internet of Things devices that have limitations related to networks or user interfaces.

To summarise, the introduction of the rSIM® marks a noteworthy advancement in improving network resilience for mobile internet and IoT devices. It provides smooth operator switching and autonomous connectivity management to reduce interruptions and guarantee continuous service delivery.
