Bruker Announces Agreement To Acquire Chemspeed
Bruker Corporation (Nasdaq: BRKR) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Chemspeed Technologies AG, a Swiss company specializing in vendor-agnostic automated laboratory R&D and QC workflow solutions. Chemspeed focuses on modular automation and robotics solutions for chemical research, pharmaceutical drug formulation, materials research for clean tech, and consumer applications. The acquisition accelerates Bruker’s venture into lab automation, digitalization, and scientific software solutions, aligning with its Project Accelerate 2.0 initiative. Chemspeed's modular automation complements Bruker’s SciY™ platform, enhancing productivity in R&D and QC departments without additional staff. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2024, subject to regulatory reviews.
