Water Treatment Devices Add More Years To Your Life
Consuming tap water is not a wise decision as it has many contaminants leading to harmful diseases and at times to death. Moreover you can't always buy bottled water as they are expensive. The only option you are left with to keep yourself and your family is installing water treatment devices at home.
But even before installing a device at your home, you need to find out which device will suit you and your family as there are many wrong guidelines spread all around regarding the water filters. A wrong device will be of no help as it will not improve but worsen your health. There are three major kinds of home water filters are distillation, reverse osmosis, and carbon block or granular filtration. You should keep in mind the efficiency the speed and the cost effectiveness of the device, before investing in one of the devices.
When it is about the cost, reverse osmosis runs from around 18 to 24 cents per gallon whereas distillation runs from around 20 to 26 cents per gallon. Installing a home water filter is considerably cheaper than those bottled water or pitcher-style ...
... filter like the Brita, which would cost you about 25 cents per gallon. Then why not go for a steady supply of clean, purified water which would cost you less. There are various water treatment methods which include removing the source of contamination, drilling of a new well, and connection to a new water supply. Drinking boiled water is another way to consume clean and purified water. But it's always better to use a water treatment device as you can't always keep on boiling water.
A carbon water treatment system is the cheapest and costs less than 10 cents per gallon. Also they have a good speed than other water treatment methods. Carbon filters produce up to 30 gallons of purified water per hour and also there is no wastage of water. In contrast to this is reverse osmosis which produces less than a gallon of filtered water per hour and also there is wastage of water around two to three gallons of water that they produce.
Industrial water treatment devices generally solve four water problems namely: scaling, corrosion, microbiological activity and disposal of residual water. Microbes are not at all a problem with the boiler as temperature is high and prevents the growing of microbes. Dissolved mineral salts in the water that cause scaling leading the water to precipitate and form solid deposits. These deposits are mobile like a fine salt or can form layers on the metal surface of the device. The problem is that the scale insulates and therefore exchange of heat becomes less efficient the reason being that the scale thickens.
Installing an effective and proper water treatment device can solve all these water problems and add many more years to your life.
