Boingo Wireless Launches First Wi-fi 7 Public Venue Network
Boingo Wireless unveiled the pioneering Wi-Fi 7 network at CES 2024, marking the first public venue deployment at the Las Vegas Monorail Boingo Station in the Convention Center. Wi-Fi 7 advances Wi-Fi 6E innovations, boasting unparalleled speed, low latency, and heightened capacity, doubling network bandwidth and quadrupling Wi-Fi 6 speeds to over 40 Gbps. Boingo CEO Mike Finley lauded this milestone, emphasizing the network's potential in high-traffic spaces like airports, stadiums, and military bases. The launch builds on Boingo's commitment to wireless innovation in Las Vegas, complementing their earlier initiatives like the Boingo Innovation Center and expanding 5G connectivity along the Strip at Dream Las Vegas.
