BrainChip to Showcase Akida Neuromorphic Processor at CES 2024
BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY) is set to demonstrate the capabilities of its Akida™ neuromorphic processor at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas. The showcase will emphasize the integration of Akida with Microchip’s SAMv71 Ultra Board and SAMA7G54-EK Board, highlighting applications in keyword spotting (KWS) and visual wake words (VWW). KWS excels in recognizing keywords like “Hey, Siri” or “OK, Google,” while VWW classifies the presence of individuals in images, suitable for in-home security and smart doorbells.

The demonstration aims to underscore the Akida processor's ultra-low latency, minimal power consumption, and exceptional accuracy. Rob Telson, Vice President of Ecosystem and Partnerships at BrainChip, anticipates exhibiting the potential and ease of integrating Akida for always-on machine learning applications on embedded devices.
