The bathroom of your home is a room that is often overlooked when it comes to decorating. However, studies have shown that many people spend a large amount of time in the bathroom. If you spend a significant amount of time in your bathroom, shouldn't you take some time to make sure that this room looks great?

A good way to ensure that your bathroom is inviting is to install a vintage tub. Adding an antique bathtub to your bathroom is a great way to enhance its appeal, and become an inviting place you want to spend time in every day.

Where can you find vintage tubs to add to your bathroom? Since vintage tubs are not new by definition, you will need to look for places that sell used or refurbished tubs.

Some good places to look are at antique stores, used furniture stores, consignment shops, and used appliance stores. You should also check for antique tubs in your local classifieds, Craigslist, or online auction sites like eBay.

Another place to search is at garage and yard sales, rummage sales, and estate sales. You can often find very inexpensive items in these places, and if there is ...
... a bathtub, you might be able to buy it as-is for pennies on the dollar. Just be persistent, and know that your search may take you some time.

After you find a tub you want to put in your bathroom, you will need to look at faucets. The faucets used on modern tubs will probably not work well or look very good on a vintage style bathtub. You will need to look for a faucet designed specifically for vintage and clawfoot tubs. Just think about it, we spend a lot of time considering what kind of faucet to use in our kitchen. Shouldn't our bathroom receive the same attention to detail?

As you begin your search for a vintage tub, you will find that there are a number of different styles from which you can choose. Whatever you choose is not so important as long as it's something that appeals to you. So take your time to find a style that you like, and looks great in your bathroom.

Besides yourself, you also have guests that visit the bathroom in your home. It only makes sense that you should spend some time making sure that you decorate it in a way that makes them feel comfortable. Adding an antique tub with matching faucets is a great way to accomplish this.
