Cbre & Nasscom Propel Real Estate Technology Innovation With Disruptech

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd., one of India's premier real estate consulting firms, organized India's 'BIGGEST PROPTECH CHALLENGE,' dubbed DISRUPTECH. Launched in collaboration with NASSCOM in May 2019, DISRUPTECH aimed to leverage technological innovation as the catalyst to transform the real estate sector.
The challenge was specially designed to identify, mentor, and support startups. Submissions for DISRUPTECH were divided into four categories–Real Estate FinTech, Sustainability, Agility and efficiency, and Made for India. The response was overwhelming, with participation from startups across India and a high number of nominations from the South region, accounting for a staggering 44%, followed by the North with 25%.
Srikanth Srinivasan, Head Membership, NASSCOM, emphasized that the initiative builds a sustainable ecosystem for PropTech startups and contributes to enhancing India's profile as the world's leading PropTech destination. By 2030, India is expected to rank as the third-largest real estate market ...

Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO, CBRE - India, South East Asia, Middle East, and Africa, said on the occasion, "We are excited to see an overwhelming response for Disruptech 2019", adding that "It wasn’t easy... to shortlist the winners, given the quality of nominations."
After the keen competition, winners were announced. Those triumphant were Touchwizard Technologies Pvt Ltd, bagging the first spot with their PropVR solution, followed by XLSYS Technologies Pvt Ltd and WEGoT Utility Solutions Pvt Ltd. These winners are set to receive mentorship from CBRE, amongst other opportunities.
The successful implementation of DISRUPTECH reinforces the fact that technological innovation is central to propelling the current real estate sector towards a more efficient and sustainable future.
By providing the necessary support to the winning technologies, CBRE aims to strengthen the Indian Real Estate landscape, enabling the delivery of innovative, technology-driven solutions. As further years of DISRUPTECH unfold, the sector can expect more industry-leading ideas and technologies to emerge, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in Real Estate technology.
