Unemployed Graduates Remain A Big Problem

Students spend anywhere from 3-7 years obtaining the qualification in their field only to find that when the graduate there is no jobs available for them. This is a problem that if not tackled now will cause untold difficulty for an entire generation of graduates.

While the employment opportunities for graduates of business, science and technology; the skills that they have learned are still relevant. Many college graduates are moving on to work in unskilled industries as they struggle to find employment within their qualified industry.

Many graduates feel that they have wasted their time in studying for a degree or masters when they find that they have no job to come into once they graduate. While them may be forgiven for feeling this way, it remains they they have earned a valuable qualification and the expertise that goes with it.

While global downturn can leave established businesses scrambling for cost savings and cut-back usually involving redundancies and recruitment freezes, smaller start up business have an opportunity to enter the marketplace in a position that they may have had to wait years for ...
... had they entered the workplace through the traditional methods.

The opening is there for Unemployed Graduates to enter the workplace as entrepreneurs and build a business for themselves. Since the already have the practical knowledge in their field of expertise, most will only require guidance with starting a business and of course some funding. Where qualified graduates band together to merge knowledge bases and skills companies can be formed and successful businesses built. Government grants are still available for entrepreneurs and start up businesses.
