Comparing Ghrp-2 To Ghrp-6 Results

Studies have shown that growth hormone releasing peptides, or GHRPs, stimulate growth hormone secretion from the pituitary gland. Researchers believe that GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 could be used as growth hormone releasing peptides for alternative therapeutics in the future.
A number of studies have proven that these peptides show a high degree of effectiveness when it comes to increasing the amount of growth hormone in the bloodstream, both offering superior potential for the future. While these two peptides are very similar, there are differences in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
Studies have shown that GHRP-2 is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue that stimulates the release of growth hormone with six amino acids. GHRP-6, on the other hand, is a hexapeptide that stimulates growth hormones, comprising of twenty eight amino acids.
While GHRP-6 has been studied extensively in scientific vitro studies for more than a decade, GHRP-2 is newly developed and is still being studied. While they both fall into the growth hormone secretagogues class, they could both elevate growth hormone levels in the bloodstream, ...
... which could be beneficial for a number of diseases.
Functioning as a growth hormone secretagogue, GHRP-2 could have an affinity to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, increasing the secretion of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. Scientists believe that this peptide functions through inhibition of somatostatin release, also known as growth hormone inhibiting hormone.
Scientists also believe that this peptide has agonistic properties to the GHRP-2 receptor, activating endogenous ligand ghrelin, increasing hunger and appetite. Presentations of this peptide suggest an inducement of serum concentration of hormones, including prolactin and cortisol in animal studies.
Studies involving GHRP-6 peptide show growth hormone secretion through distinct mechanisms. It is believed to induce the activation of ghrelin through a binding process. It binds to the ghrelin receptors, initiating a signaling pathway that in turn, stimulates the anterior pituitary gland, secreting higher amounts of growth hormone.
When GHRP-6 is present it suppresses somatostain production in animal subjects. Without somatostatin, there is a reduction in signaling pathways to modulate the growth hormone levels, therefore significantly increasing growth hormone in blood levels. Researchers suspect that GHRP-6 could lead to an elevation of growth hormone secretion, leading to the release of IGF-1 (Insulin like growth factor) by the liver.
Scientists believe that the properties of GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 could be related to their ability to stimulate growth hormone release, which could increase muscle mass. GHRP-2 peptide elevates growth hormone secretion triggering myoctyle growth and division. This results in skeletal muscle hypertrophy. It is preferred by scientists and researchers due to its ability to induce lipolysis, which leads to lean composition and the reduction of fat.
It is also believed that this peptide could facilitate the maintenance of calcium. Calcium is essential to maintain musculoskeletal strength facilitating proper mineralization. Improved levels of calcium has been linked to increased joint and bone strength.
In addition to this, with elevated growth hormone levels in the body, would healing is improved, along with cellular proliferation in the injury site. There is a belief that GHRP-2 could have the ability to reduce inflammation in the liver. Growth hormone secretion impacts tests subjects circadian rhythm, improving vitality and efficacy.
Further, GHRP-6 could increase muscle mass, enhance recovery, improve immune function and reduce fat with similar properties to GHRP-2 peptide. It could reduce adipose tissue, facilitating weight loss, while stimulating the release of IGF-1, resulting in an anabolic action.
