The system goes through an elaborate training phase where it is allowed to get used to the identification of the human eye at varying distances and under different lighting. This marvel of mobile application development needs to be calibrated by taking a picture of both the eyes in indoor as well as outdoor environments. The EyePhone runs on the Nokia 810 smart phone and tracks the user eye position relative to the screen. Blinking allows selection and the program places a virtual error box around the eye recognizing it till it drops out of the box dimensions. This is accomplished by dividing the camera frame into nine regions and identifying the eye position in one of those regions. Approximate estimates put the accuracy of this innovative mobile application development wonder at around 76% in daylight and when the user is still and 60% when the user is mobile.
