Avoiding The Negative Aspects Of Self-development Processes
It became popular recently to attend various training courses and seminars on self-development. Others might approach the self-development process individually. Generally, development and personality growth are perceived as positive processes that should bring satisfaction and motivation to the individual. Nevertheless, it can be stated that sometimes self-development initiatives can bring on negative aspects to the individual. The present article will attempt to expand on such issue, providing recommendations on the way such situation can be avoided.

The main negative aspect of self-development can be seen in cases when the initiatives do not correspond to reality. People might become so captivated and involved in self-development that they forget to transfer the knowledge and the skills they learned into practice. The main aim of self-development is raising the quality of life in any of its aspects, whether professional, personal, or other. What Should Be Done
The first thing that should be considered to avoid the aforementioned situation is to seek positive changes in one's life. Employees should take the initiative in their hands to change the world around them. If the current job position does not correspond to the employee's level, and there are no signs of a career progression, one might consider changing the job. Employees might consider approaching their employers to inform them that they can do more difficult tasks, can take greater responsibilities, etc. Self-development should be combined with positive changes, in order for the development efforts to take effect in real life.
