Convergint, a prominent global player in service-based systems integration, has revealed its intent to acquire Peace of Mind Technology (POMT), a respected provider of audio-visual, workspace, and communications technology solutions based in Sydney. This strategic acquisition marks Convergint's entry into the audio-visual (AV) market in Australia, signaling a substantial expansion of the company's vertical expertise and key service capabilities within the region.

POMT, established in 1996, has been at the forefront of delivering innovative audio-visual and workspace solutions across Australia. The company's offerings seamlessly bring together various aspects of property, facilities, and information communications technology to create unparalleled experiences for modern workplaces. As the global demand for scalable, user-friendly, and fully integrated audio-visual solutions continues to escalate, this acquisition bolsters Convergint's presence and capabilities, adding over 130 experienced colleagues to the company's workforce and extending its reach within this pivotal growth sector.

Tony Wang, CEO of APAC at Convergint, ...
... expressed excitement about the impending integration of the Peace of Mind Technology team, emphasizing the alignment between POMT's commitment to excellent service and Convergint's dedication to being a premier service provider. He also highlighted that the synergies resulting from this partnership will enable Convergint to serve an even wider array of customers across different corners of Australia and Asia.

Dean Monaghan, Managing Director of Oceania at Convergint, sees the acquisition as a natural progression to meet the growing demand for audio-visual solutions. This strategic move further enhances Convergint's capabilities and positions the company to address evolving customer needs effectively.

Since its acquisition of Seal Telecom in 2021, Convergint has been diligently working on building a comprehensive global AV offering, which has witnessed remarkable growth within the AV market. This positioning has allowed Convergint to provide an extensive range of solutions and capabilities, positioning the company as a premier global partner for security, audio, video, and unified communication solutions.

Jason Levine, Founder and CEO of POMT, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the value it would bring to clients by integrating security, AV, and workplace technologies. He highlighted the shared commitment between the two companies to deliver outstanding service and results, as well as the strong cultural alignment between POMT and Convergint.

Denis Pozigun, Executive Director of Global AV at Convergint, viewed this acquisition as a significant milestone in the company's ongoing efforts to build a truly global and industry-leading audio-visual service offering. He emphasized the company's commitment to expanding its AV expertise worldwide and partnering with organizations that share a dedication to exceptional service and a dynamic corporate culture.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, and Convergint continues to demonstrate its leadership in the industry. With over 9,000 colleagues and a presence in more than 200 locations worldwide, Convergint stands out as a $2.3 billion USD global systems integrator, with a strong focus on electronic security, cybersecurity, fire and life safety, building automation, and audio-visual systems.
