Hunting Clubs – For Many The Ideal Solution

Deer hunting clubs in Alabama and many other Southern states have become very popular in recent decades for a number of reasons.
FINDING LEASES NO LONGER THAT EASY
Hunters will tell you, and other role players in the hunting industry will confirm, that finding deer hunting leases in the South in states such as Alabama, Virginia and Mississippi is not as easy as it once was; therefore joining a hunting club is for many the ideal solution. There simply are no longer so many opportunities to hunt by yourself on private land, as the hunting industry has indeed changed a lot over past decades and become much more sophisticated in many ways which now makes it difficult for the single hunter to find a suitable lease.
Therefore hunting clubs all over the U.S., and certainly in the South have sprung up and offer the public great opportunities to join a group of hunters with their own lease and with the opportunity to spend time with likeminded people.
CONSERVATION
Wildlife conservation is at the heart of any healthy hunting industry, whether you hunt deer in Alabama, or enjoy wing shooting ...
... in the South and elsewhere. Landowners know this, which is why they are more careful than in the past to offer leases to individuals and people they do not know. This is where the knowledge and experience of a good wildlife conservationist or consultant comes in handy.
These services, depending on their experience and expertise, now often take over all the administration of hunting leases on behalf of private owners that, in the past, merely advertised leases to the public, not really knowing what to expect. Such services, like the well-known Westervelt Wildlife, now administer leases for landowners, and in the process they manage hunting clubs which are controlled and which have become an important part of the deer hunting setup in the Southeast and elsewhere.
CLUBS
Hunting clubs are created for the benefit of all. Firstly, the landowner no longer has to deal with many individuals, all asking different questions, with many of them not following through, or paying too late, or not at all. The answer for owners these days is to pay a management fee to the service that administers the hunting club. The owner now has very little to do as their agent manages the club. And for the hunter that joins the club? They know that they can now rely on the other members for support and friendship.
The hunter that becomes a member of a hunting club no longer has to do all the research such as finding the best destination, at a suitable date, at a reasonable rate – and yes, individual leases work out expensively, whereas the fees for a club are normally negotiated at a lower rates.
HOW DOES ONE FIND A GOOD HUNTING CLUB?
At times you may be lucky enough to hear about a club from a friend or family member, but generally speaking the internet is a great source of information. Leases are advertised by landowners, and management companies are able to offer a number of different leases on their website. This makes it easy for the person looking for a club to join, since they are able to make their comparisons in one place.
WEBPAGES
Some agencies or consultants that manage deer hunting (and other) clubs actually afford every hunting club their own webpage, regardless of how many clubs they advertise. This means that every hunter has access to their own club’s unique profile and information. It helps them plan and be ready for their outing, without having to arrange everything on their own.
Hunting clubs in the Southeast are hugely popular these days, with many more likely to spring up in years to come.
