How Often Should You Replace Your Existing Car With A New One?
Whether you are the owner of a brand-new car or drive around a used car, there will be a day when you would like to sell the existing car and buy another one. The question is how soon should you replace your car? Many are confused as to when one should upgrade their vehicle. Generally, there are two thoughts of school here – one that loves to replace the new car with another one within a span of 18 to 24 months. These car owners love to flaunt the latest cars just like the latest version of their iPhones. And the second group believes in upgrading to a new car when it is absolutely necessary, otherwise they prefer to avoid it as much as possible. There is no right or wrong between these two groups. It depends on personal choice and financial strength. So, which group of car owners do you belong to?
If you do not identify with any of these groups and are midway between these two groups, then you should lookout for these signs before you replace your existing car:
Your Car is Always Breaking Down - No matter how many times, you get the car repaired and fixed, ...
... something or the other goes wrong and you end up with a car that breaks down in the middle of the road at the smallest pretext. Moreover, most of the car parts have become obsolete and it is difficult to find them. It is a miracle that you are still driving the car around.
The Features of Your Car are Basic - Your car hardly has any of the tech elements. All the features are basic and replacing them with the latest ones will prove to be highly expensive. Moreover, there is no guarantee that it meant for your car model. You just cannot go ahead and invest in tech elements for your car if it lacks the provisions for the same.
Your Odometer Displays an Outlandish Number – The number of miles that you have covered in this car is outrageous. If you have covered 200,000 miles it means that you should definitely change your car. Just because you can still drive around the thing does not mean that you need to retain it. The car is nothing but has become a massive box of scrap metal.
The Silverwater driving school will teach you how to drive safely but when you need to replace the car, they cannot give you instructions on this. You have to take the final call.
