Fair Trade Koffiebonen
www.granokoffie.nl is ontstaan na een jarenlange zoektocht naar lekkere koffiebonen voor onze eigen Jura koffiemachine. Het moet vers zijn, en onder de 20 Euro per kilo kosten.
Wat is het verschil tussen deze 2 koffiebonen! koffiebonen wordt bepaald door de hoeveelheid cafeïne. Robusta koffie bevat veel meer cafeïne en heeft daardoor een sterke, bittere smaak.
De reden hiervoor is de hoogte waarop de planten groeien. Robusta koffiebonen groeien op plekken die niet hoger zijn dan 600 meter. Daardoor zijn ze kwetsbaarder voor ziektes en parasieten. De plant beschermt zichzelf daartegen met cafeïne. Veel meer dus dan de Arabica koffieboon nodig heeft.
Die groeit namelijk op hoogtes boven de 600 meter waar ze minder gevaar lopen, dit geeft dan ook een heerlijke zachte maar volle smaak aan de koffie.
