Machine learning and programming are both powerful tools with different strengths and weaknesses.
Programming is good at solving problems with well-defined rules and procedures. It is also good at automating repetitive tasks and can be used to build specific tools, algorithms and systems.
On the other hand, machine learning is better at solving problems that involve making predictions or decisions based on data. It can automatically learn from data, identify patterns and make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to do so. It's particularly useful for tasks that involve a lot of data or when the rules or procedures are not well-defined.
So, it's not a matter of machine learning being better than programming, rather it's a matter of using the right tool for the right job. Depending on the problem you're trying to solve, you may use a combination of both programming and machine learning to achieve the best results.
Machine learning has the ability to automate tasks that were previously done by humans, and in some cases, it can perform those tasks more efficiently and accurately than ...
... humans can. However, it is unlikely that machine learning will completely replace programmers.
Machine learning is a tool that can be used to automate certain tasks, but it still requires human expertise to design, implement and interpret the results. Programmers are needed to design and implement the algorithms and systems that allow machines to learn from data. They also need to preprocess the data and validate the results.
Additionally, machine learning is not a one-size-fits-all solution and it can't solve all problems, there are still many areas where traditional programming is more suitable than ML, such as low-level system programming, embedded systems, and real-time systems.
Therefore, while machine learning may change the nature of some jobs and automate certain tasks, it is unlikely to replace programmers entirely. Instead, it is more likely that machine learning will augment the role of programmers, allowing them to focus on higher-level tasks and improve their productivity.
