Hello, Mumbaikar this is Rial here with a great solution for people who use public transport (BEST Bus). Most of the time we face issue in best buses like bus are not on time and hence buses are full of rush and overcrowded with all mumbaikars from different places. People use bus for short as well as long distance. Using public transport is a great idea instead of using personal vehicle in city like mumbai. But what if there is no place to stand in bus? how to overcome this situation? Solution is very easy before I explain this solution we must understand the seat arrangement in bus. except the driver and conductor on the right hand side there are 13 rows of seats in which 6 are specially reserved for womens ( striyansathi ) and remaining 7 including last seat are general. On the left hand side we have 11 rows of seat in which first 4 are for handicaped ( apangasati ) and old people ( jayeshtnagrikasathi ) and remaining 7 are general excluding last seat. Now this 6 rows on right side with 12 women seats remaining 7 rows of general are 6= 12 and last seat with 5 seats capacity but in mumbai people manage and make it as 6seat ...
... instead 5. same on the left but little bit changes include 1st row as only 1 seat because of exit door. remaining 10 rows are same with 2 seats each. solution for overcrowded bus.

1) if there is no seats available stand after the right side row.

2) if there is no seats and right rows are fully occupied stand after left side row.

3) if both the rows are full than tell people to carry their bag / baggage in front of them or to adjust with the person who is seated and stand in the mid section between both the rows.

4) if the bus is full kindly tell other people at the bus stop to take another bus, this really make sense.

5) try to give space to conductor and help him because he have to travel inside the bus from 1row to last as he / she is helping you for your ticket. note : you can put your baggage under seat and also if baggage are not that big than you can tell seated person to kindly keep on their lap.

Kindly adjust in bus instead of fighting. this shows manner and also represent how we use public transport. always respect your elder specially old people give seat to them and help them to get down from bus. I hope this will help you in future any issue with this post kindly let me know in comment section. aamchi mumbai great mumbai clean mumbai.
