Great people don't do different things but they do things differently. They never wait for the right opportunity but they just create them. What makes them so special is the untiring efforts and the pains they bear to reach their destination. Especially when it comes to women there are various hurdles that hinder their dream. Courageous people face them while most others just alter their wishes and desires according to their situations that prevails around them. One of such courageous, living legend of bravery is Lei Wang.

Lei Wang, as her name suggests belongs to the nation that comprises the highest manpower in the world, the China. Like all Chinese children she too had an ordinary way of childhood. Moreover she was quite unlucky about the fact that she lacked some degree of dearness with her parents because of their busy working schedule. Her grandparents were the people who bridged that gap and embraced her with affection taking her away from the feel of being alone.

... about becoming doctor, writer, scientist, professor and so on. Hopefully she was also on the same track and hence she enrolled herself in the MBA program.

Everyone needs a twist or an external factor in the journey of life to make them realize actually what they are meant for. One such twists in Lei Wang's life which showed her the new dimensions is her trip to the icy steeps of Cotopaxi and Kilimanjaro. Without any idea of mountaineering and with lack of confidence she successfully managed to reach the tops of these two gigantic peaks. This unexpected victory made her to think beyond the limits what she had drawn previously for herself. She realized it was not just with fluke that made her to achieve it. There was something beyond that. This made her minds to utter again and again that The Everest should be her next ultimate destination.

Every successful journey is initiated with a small step. Likewise Lei Wang too decided to start her chapter of adventure with the seven summits. The seven summits refers to the seven prominent peaks that belongs to the seven continents that exist to date. But to her surprise she was really shocked to see that though a number of courageous women were ahead of her in the journey of adventure no Chinese women were occupying a position in the list of those record makers. And so she decided to become the record breaker and this was the exact reason to divert her passion towards mountaineering. Up to today her achievements speaks well about her efforts she have put forth to reach her dream as she has become the only Chinese woman to finish up with six of the seven summits and on successful try to reach the seventh.

Lei Wang is the first Chinese woman and Asian-American woman to achieve the 'Seven Summits'. An unique mountaineering challenge consisting of climbing the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.
