Silicone Sealant Application

Try to avoid squeezing out too much silicone as not only will this make a mess it will also be a waste. Apply the sealant in a steady line and then you can use a finger dipped in a little bit of washing up liquid (this stops it from sticking to your skin) to smooth the sealant bead. An additional benefit to smoothing out sealant is that it will prevent bacteria and dirt from accumulating in any gaps or uneven sections.
