Air conditions are almost popular in every family now, because this kind of equipment can bring many conveniences to people. It could change the house warm in winter and cool in summer. However, some disadvantages will also exist at the same time if people careless when use of air conditions.

Open the windows to ventilate about 10 minutes and try to keep the fresh air into room before switch on the air condition. Turn off air conditioning after it works for a while, then ventilate for 20 - 30 minutes again and recycle this action so that the indoor and outdoor air can form convection and the harmful gases can exhaust to the outside.

It had better control the temperature at 25℃ in the rooms and keep the indoor temperature at most 7℃ lower than outdoor. The cold air exit should not face directly to the people and desk.

If air conditioning is not cleaned regularly, it will accumulate dust, fiber, and breed a large number of bacteria, viruses, mould fungi, mites and so on. Therefore, these dust and pathogenic microbes will be blew out when the air conditioning turns on, and causing indoor air pollution ...
... and the spread of disease. Maybe the biggest hazard is the Legionella which hide in the air conditioning ventilation system and cause Legionnaires disease. In addition, the mites are strong allergens which can cause allergic asthma, dermatitis, rhinitis, etc.. So the household air conditioning should be clean and disinfect by the professional people every year. It must use the qualified disinfectant and proper ratio. During the air-conditioning use, people should clean the filter regularly, preferable once a week (washing with water directly).

Elderly people have weak respiratory function. The air conditioning temperature should not too low when using it. Besides, people can use a humidifier or put a pot of water in the room if the weather too dry. What's more, dry the sweat in body before come into the room from outside.

Children have lower immune function, so turn off the air conditioning half an hour and open windows for ventilation before leaving so that to adopt the change temperature between indoor and outdoor.
