5 Most Common Back Pain Causes

Back pain has incredibly many causes. Sometimes you may know what triggered it, and sometimes you may be at a loss because you haven't lifted anything heavy or haven't been to the gym recently. But we often forget that sedentary work or heavy physical labor is also associated with the risk of back pain.
Some problems can be treated with massages, medicinal ointments, or simply resting, but some may require more serious treatment. Below are several common causes of back pain that might be your case, but still, you should consult with your therapist for better treatment.
1. Loss of back muscle strength
All the muscles in the human body may atrophy due to the lack of physical activity. The muscles become floppy and can no longer properly hold the spine in the correct position. You may to slouch, recline, or sit with a crooked side because that seems more comfortable. But in time you may feel really bad back pain.
If a person slouches or sits crookedly, the weight of the whole body is not evenly distributed on the spine. ...
... This can lead to a deterioration in well-being, dizziness, a feeling of spasmodic pain in various parts of the back, and spinal curvature.
First of all, you’ll need to control your posture and do less sedentary work. Try to walk more often or do more breaks for small stretching. In most cases, it is enough to do physical exercises once a day to strengthen the back muscles. Sometimes you may need salve to relieve pain. Over time, the pain will be gone, and you will feel much better. But if the pain persists for more than 5 days, you should consult with your therapist.
2. Pinched nerve
A pinched nerve in any part of the back is a very unpleasant thing. This can cause numbness and pain in the arms or legs, problems with urinary control, general weakness in the body, loss of balance, dizziness, sickness, low blood pressure, and many other symptoms.
Usually, a pinched nerve treatment does not require surgical intervention. The doctor may recommend you a course of therapeutic massages and physical therapy for better recovery.
3. Exhaustion or overstrain of the muscles
Extreme exercises can also cause back pain. Repeating the same movements too hard and too often, you may begin to experience muscle irritation and tension. This tension may turn into chronic pain if ignored. Also, you may get an injury, like a muscle strain or rupture of the muscle.
When treating overexertion, doctors usually advise their patients to rest the area. It may also be recommended to apply ice or a warming compress to improve blood circulation. Also, the therapist may recommend you do some stretching exercises to develop flexibility and strength in the affected muscles.
4. Traumatic injury
Traumatic muscle injury from an accident at home or work, a fall, lifting heavy objects, or playing sports can also cause back pain. Sometimes such pain may appear not immediately after the incident but the next day or much later.
Such injuries may have very serious effects, for example, a fracture of the vertebrae can lead to nerve damage or paralysis. If you have a back injury, you should immediately book an appointment with your therapist, who will identify the problem and prescribe the correct treatment. But some injuries may need surgical intervention.
5. Bones and muscles diseases
Except for domestic or sports injuries, you may feel back pain because of a serious bone or muscle disease. For example, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, spinal deformity, problematic kyphosis, disc herniation, kidney disease, osteoarthritis, spinal infection, or even lung cancer may cause different types of back pain.
Some of them may require surgery. And others may be inoperable and not completely curable. Some back diseases may stay with you for a long time and cause you pain occasionally due to your age or lifestyle.
