Suitability Criteria For Australian Computer Society Skills Assessment
You must know the suitability criteria, ICT major criteria, ICT minor criteria and so on. Here, we will give you a clear idea of the suitability criteria and the ICT major criteria. Knowing these things will help you better prepare your application. Thus, attaining a positive Australian Computer Society skills assessment will be possible for you.
Suitability criteria:
If you earned your work experience before the completion date of your qualification, the Skill Level Requirement Met Date will be determined on the earliest date that both the related working experience and the qualifications are completed.
The past-10-year requirement period for work experience is determined by the 10 years before the date of submission of your online skills application.
The term ‘Relevant work experience’ means a working experience that is closely relevant to the selected occupation from the ANZSCO list and acquired at a professional IT level for a minimum of 20 hours per week consistently and remuneration reflects the skill level necessary.

... the ICT Major and ICT Minor is conducted on the basis of the number of units with enough IT content and the number of ICT units closely related to the nominated occupation.
An Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree are of the same criteria as the Diploma.
Qualifications that are evaluated as Not Recognized means:
The qualification is evaluated as equal to less than AQF Diploma
The education institution is not recognized by Australian education criteria or international equivalent associations.
ICT Major Criteria:
Bachelor degree level: A standard qualification of 3 years of bachelor level is considered having a major in computing if a minimum of 33% of the qualification is ICT. The longer duration qualifications are considered equal to 3 years of AQF Level 7 (Bachelor) award.
Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree Level: A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree qualification is regarded as having a major in computing if a minimum of 50% of the qualification is ICT.
Post-Graduate Qualification Level:
A 2 years of post-graduate qualification (like a Graduate Diploma or Master’s) that doesn’t need a bachelor’s with an ICT major for entry into the course is regarded as having a major in computing if a minimum of 50% of the qualification is ICT. A Qualification is assessed as the equal of a 2-year AQF Level 8 and above award. An Australian postgraduate degree with only 12 subjects needs a minimum of 67% ICT content.
Australian postgraduate qualifications must have the following:
A minimum of 3 semesters or a minimum of 3/2 years of full-time study;
A minimum of 2 semesters or 1 year of full-time equal ICT content;
A minimum of 12 units or subjects
A postgraduate qualification (Graduate Diploma, Master’s or Doctoral qualification) that does need at least a bachelor qualification with a major in ICT for entry into the course, must have ICT content of a minimum of 33%, all of which must be at a postgraduate level.
