The Algarve region has been a major destination in Europe for years, especially among the British. The vast sandy beaches, diverse cuisine, pleasant climate and charming people contribute to the pleasure of this top holiday destination. This beautiful tourist spot is located in southern Portugal, Europe. According to archaeologists, this area was under the rule of Moorish rulers around 2000 BC.

Take a trip around the old town of Tavira to view a few of the ancient Roman, Renaissance and Gothic churches.

Though there are a number of luxury hotels in Algarve, an independent villa is the best place to stay with your family. You can cook your own food and cuisine to suit your mood. There are also locals who provide rooms for short stay. You get to have homemade food and a homelike atmosphere at any of these local homes.
Art and Architecture
Everything from rustic hilltop castles and old Roman Bridges to Renaissance style churches and primeval buildings stand as evidence of the Algarve's strong culture. Buildings are white washed with bright colored windows and doors. The people of Algarve are highly artistic. You will find an array of woodworks, copper and brass displays and pots of different shapes and sizes at many of the showrooms in this town.
Algarve is a fusion of old and new culture and tradition ignited by the warm climate and diverse land forms, which make it a perfect destination for tourists.
Algarve Cuisine
Algarve's cuisine is a great combination of flavors and aromas. The assorted seafood menu includes silver sardines, shellfish stew, fish-stew, steamed clams and brandy made of arbutus berries distilled in copper stills.
