Australian Institute of Project Management’s RegPM certification program comes with a benchmark of excellence for a project professional in Australia.
Whether you are coordinating project plans or leading and directing project teams, the institute can provide a certification for every stage of your career. There are six levels of RegPM certification, and you can choose one as per your stage.
Here, in this blog, we will tell you about the six steps you to go through for certification. Apart from that, we will also tell you about six types of certifications.
Let’s move further to know the process of attaining this certification.
The following are the six steps you need to go through to be certified with RegPM:
1. Join the Institute:
You can have access to the institute’s RegPM program only if you are a full Australian Institute of Project Management member. A non-member can join the institute as a member and apply for certification simultaneously. So, join the institute, and apply for certification.
2. Apply for RegPM certification:
If you are a member ...
... of the Institute and don’t have the RegPM status, apply for certification.
3. Assign an assessor:
Your RegPM certification needs a formal assessment of your experience and competency. The Institute can allocate an evaluator for you, or you can choose an approved assessor for your assessment.
4. Complete your assessment:
You need to answer questions and gather proof to document competency at the level applied for. Your completed evaluation record book must be submitted to your assessor within six months of your application date.
5. Have an interview with your assessor:
After evaluating your submission and having an interview with you, your evaluator will recommend the result of your application.
6. Your RegPM Certification is complete:
If positive, your name will be listed on the AIPM’s online register of certified project professionals. In addition, you will get a certificate of registration, with three years of validity.
