We as a Net-Zero consultancy in Dubai Increased energy use, carbon emissions, and new building accompany global population growth. Most of our global carbon emissions and energy consumption come from cities, despite occupying only 4% of the planet's geographical area.
In our role as Net-Zero consultant Cities program of the World Economic Forum brings together leaders from city, regional, and national governments with businesses from ten different industries to hasten the transition of urban areas to a net zero future. t seeks to localize progress toward net zero by gathering committed international leaders who are putting a toolbox of solutions into practice through city sprints. The solutions include a wide range of policy, business, and finance models for reduced carbon emissions, ranging from re-purposing a 1970s university building in Singapore to re-use its carbon to an innovative district heating network linked to nearly 89% of buildings in Stockholm, Sweden.
In our opinion as Net-Zero in UAE Cities initiative are creating a supportive environment for clean electrification and circularity, which will lead ...
... to urban decarburization and resilience. Encouraging public-private cooperation closes the divide between the energy, built environment, and transportation sectors. The world's 8 billion inhabitants, the majority of whom reside in cities, will feel the effects of climate change. Cities are home to more than 49% of the world's people and produce 70% of the CO2 emissions that are the primary cause of the climate crisis. 66% of people will live in cities by 2050, increasing the demand for infrastructure, energy use, and carbon pollution. An integrated net zero carbon future requires rapidly transforming business structures and policy.
In the fight against climate change, buildings can be a crucial factor. Building construction and operation account for 41% of global emissions. There is a pressing need for solutions to help accelerate the decarburization of the urban built environment to limit the rise in global temperature to below 1.5°C. Representatives from business, government, and civic society highlighted the strategies required for cities to transition to As a Net-Zero consultancy in Dubai future at the Davos Agenda 2021 conference. In response, the Forum gathered various partners who could help global cities achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2051.
The Forum's Being an Net-Zero consultant in UAE program is working on localizing net zero and enabling integrated, multi-stakeholder environments to deliver a decarbonized, highly electrified, and resilient city ecosystem through ultra-efficient buildings and intelligent energy infrastructure. Francesco Storage, CEO of Neel, and Jean-Pascal Trickier, CEO of Schneider Electric, co-chair it. ABB, Arup, Accenture, EDGE Technologies, Eletrobras, ENEL, Jacobs Engineering, JLL, Johnson Controls, Royal Dutch Shell, Schneider Electric, The Carlyle Group, and Vattenfall are a few of the private sector leaders participating in the program.
