We're no longer in Woodsboro for long. Ghostface is back and this time the killer is looking to kill more people than we've ever witnessed. Scream 6 just got an extended release date, a poster, a full-length trailer, and an assortment of first-look shots If you weren't already on the in the seat of your pants before then you will be now.
Scream 6 release date
Scream VI was originally set to release in 2023 on the 31st of March however, it will be released in cinemas earlier, on the date of March 10, 2023.
The filming began in June and August 2022. Given that we've got the trailer for the film we're fairly confident and hopeful that the film will release according to the schedule in March 2023.
The trailer is 60 seconds long and showcases the four survivors of the film on a train within New York City, only to have their journey interrupted by Ghostface or perhaps it's Ghostfaces.
The trailer was released on the 18th of January 2023. The trailer showed the complete group of returning and new faces who will be fighting Ghostface. We're not yet knowing which or more (or many more) will be Ghostface ...

We also saw the first look of Hayden Panettiere's return in the role of popular fan Kirby Reed, a perilous scenario to Gale Weathers and the promise of the possibility of a Ghostface that we've never before seen.
Scream 6 cast: Who's returning in Scream VI?

The other actors who returned from the previous film The other actors returning from the previous film are Jasmin Savoy Brown as well as Mason Gooding as Randy's niece and nephew Mindy and Chad Meeks Martin. Roger Jackson will, of course, return in the role of Ghostface.
There's also some good news that could help ease the pain of losing Sidney because Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere reprises her role as Kirby Reed in the new film.

The official synopsis of the plot of Scream 6 reads: "The Scream story continues with 4 survivors from the Ghostface killings , as they leave Woodsboro behind to start the new chapter."

"It's awful. Because you also observe how in a place like New York City, everyone does their own routine and someone else is crying for help, but no one is willing to come to help them.
"No one is there to assist them, that everyone's sort of like"I'm not into this. It's a bit of a pity as you're pursued by Ghostface however, you also observe the human condition and how it reacts in situations similar to this. So, I've probably already spoken too much."
Jenna Ortega also told Entertainment Tonight: "Ghostface gets a much more terrifying. I just read a small portion of the script and it just becomes more violent.
"I believe that Ghostface is the most violent as well as violent rendition of Ghostface we've seen to date, which I believe will be enjoyable for shooting."
The film has also been announced the fact that Scream 6 will have the longest running time of any film in the series, which is more than 2 hours.
