Although the idea of making your home eco-friendly may seem like a daunting task, but, it is not so. A careful bit of planning on your part and you are all set to bring in the change. Today, we are going to discuss some interesting ideas on how you can make your home e-co friendly:

Use structural steel Whyalla in the construction process - out of all the construction metals, structural steel is the most eco-friendly. It does not give out any toxic fumes.

Opt for energy efficient appliances - when you are purchasing electrical appliances look out for the ones that are energy efficient. Nowadays most of the energy efficient appliances have stars in it. The higher the number of starts, the more efficient it is.

Purchase pre-used furniture pieces - instead of purchasing a brand-new sofa set or TV unit, why don’t you purchase a pre-used one? There are many stores that deal in good quality second hand furniture pieces. The items are so well maintained that no one will be able to identify the difference.

Switch ...
... to LED lights - these lights are stronger and consume lesser electricity. The moment you switch to LED lights there will be an automatic reduction to your electricity bills.

Pay your bills online - save paper as much as you can. When you pay all your bills online, you are reducing your carbon footprint a lot.

Be more water aware - be careful with your water usage. You should not keep the tap on when you brush your teeth or when you are washing your face. Open the tap only when you need it. Fix an amount of water that you need daily and stick to it. Do not waste water more than you need.

Add solar panels - when you use solar panels you are using renewable resources to run all the electrical devices at home. This means you are reducing your dependence on electricity. This is a huge step that will help you to make your home eco-friendlier.

Fix the leaks - whenever there are any leaks you should get it fixed immediately. This will keep your house in good shape.
