During Ardaas’ prayers, it is said, “Nanak Naam Chardi Kala Tere Bhane Sarbat da bhala,” which means “Nanak, with your name and blessings, may everyone in the world prosper and be at peace.” Rather than pilgrimage, he believes salvation comes from within the heart, spirit, and soul. In his view, the Guru is the voice of God, the source of knowledge and salvation, who, without discrimination, shows the path to truth and enlightenment.
