Guwahati : The largest city in Assam, Guwahati evolved from being just a market and is now the gateway to the northeastern part of India. Among the fastest growing cities in India, Guwahati is known to preserve its natural characteristics.

Jorhat : among Assam’s largest towns, Jorhat is the tea capital of Assam. There are around 300 tea estates around the town. This town was destroyed by the Burmese during their raids and was rebuilt by the British.
