The beach town of Kovalam is located only few miles from the city of Trivandrum in Kerala. The crescent shaped beaches of the town remain busy with the tourist activities throughout the year. The pristine beauty of Lighthouse Beach is enhanced by a lighthouse and the beach has many popular resorts and restaurants to enjoy

Samudra Beach and Hawah Beach are admired for their serene atmosphere. Each of these beaches has interesting rock outcroppings and offer great opportunities to watch the waves splashing over the rocks.

One of the popular attractions of Kovalam beach is the presence of numerous Ayurvedic massage centres where the visitors are provided with extremely relaxing holistic treatments.

Visiting Kovalam during the month of August will also be great, as during this month the Onam festival is commemorated. Summer at Kovalam rises up to 30 degree Celsius. June to August is the rainy season and rest of the months are moderate with pleasant climate.

Nearest airport is at Trivandrum. Nearest railway station is also at Trivandrum. Busses are available from Trivandrum, Cochin and Kovalam.
