Remember those days when your mom or nana would whip up their delicious waffles and you could not get enough of them? No matter how they made the waffles, they always turned out great and no other waffle would compare to theirs!

In this blog, we will share our easy waffle recipes that you can try at home. Whether you want to relish them for breakfast or a kid’s party, with our 15-minute recipes you will leave everyone wanting more.

For those who love crispy waffles, we reckon they check out our Classic Waffle Recipe. And those who love them thick, soft, and crispy should check out our Belgian Waffle Recipe.

The Classic Waffle Recipe
To make classic waffles, you will need these ingredients:
● Egg yolk - 1 yolk is enough
● Flour - 225 g or frozen flour from Yogurshop
● Salt (a generous pinch)
● Milk - 250 ml
● Vanilla extract - 1/2 a teaspoon
● Oil (sunflower oil or vegetable oil)
● Butter - 50 grams of melted butter
● Icing sugar, maple syrup, or chocolate syrup
● Waffle maker
● Note: If you do not have access to dry ingredients ...
... at home or find it a hassle to measure ingredients you can head over to yogurshop for their powdered mixture. They also provide a gluten-free waffle mix available in 1kg and 10 kg.

In a large bowl, add flour, the egg yolk, and a pinch of salt, and mix the ingredients slowly. Add in the milk, butter, and vanilla extract then continue whisking the batter till you have a smooth batter.

Once the batter is ready, set it aside and grease the waffle maker with oil. You can choose sunflower oil or vegetable oil then slowly add some batter to it. Each waffle takes about 5 to 6 minutes to make and voila there you have a crispy waffle with a soft inside.

To add a little more flavor to the waffle, you can top it with icing sugar, maple syrup, or chocolate syrup.

Delicious Fluffy Belgian Waffle Recipe

Who doesn’t love authentic, fluffy, and delicious Belgian waffles? Just think about the soft insides and subtle taste of vanilla and cinnamon … yummy.

Now, although the process of making fluffy Belgian waffles is similar to making the classic ones, the difference lies in texture and the use of a specific waffle maker.
Belgian waffles are thicker and have deeper pockets than classic waffles, that is because the egg whites and egg yolks are beaten separately and added separately to the mixture. Additionally, the Belgian waffle maker is designed deeper than the classic one to give you the desired results.

Remember, to get the same texture and flavor as the Belgian classic, you should follow this recipe to the T.
Ingredients needed:
● Flour (all-purpose) – 250 g
● Salt – a pinch of salt
● Sugar
● Baking powder
● Butter -50 g
● Milk – half a cup
● Vanilla extract – ½ tbs
● Eggs – 3 eggs
● Cinnamon powder – 1 tbs
● Maple syrup (optional)
● Powdered sugar (optional)
● Fruit toppings (optional)
● Heavy cream
● If you don’t have dry ingredients at home, you can order a premixed mixture from yogurshop.

Preheat your waffle maker/ waffle iron to medium heat then in a large mixing bowl mix in your dry ingredients.

Take 250g of all-purpose flour that has been passed through a sieve, and add ½ or 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, sugar (as per your liking), a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix these ingredients.

In another bowl separate the egg white from the yolk. Whisk the egg whites together till they form a stiff peak. Leave that aside and move on to the next bowl.

In a large bowl, mix milk and heavy cream with egg yolks, butter/oil, and vanilla. Once you’ve mixed these ingredients add the bowl of dry ingredients to it.

Now add the egg whites to the batter and prepare your waffle iron.

Add oil to your waffle iron or spray it with a non-stick spray then pour your batter in. The amount of batter you need to add depends on the size of your waffle iron. Usually, half a ladle will suffice.

Cook each side for about 2 to 3 minutes and you are done.
You can top off your waffle with powdered sugar, maple syrup, and/or fresh fruits like strawberries or blueberries.

Do not overcook the batter, or else you will be left with a solid burnt waffle.
