Aloe Vera is a wonderful tropical plant. The list of its benefits is never-ending. You name a skin problem, and there, aloe vera comes to the rescue!

Aloe Vera is eminent speculation for skin that results in smooth and graceful skin. A restorative plant used in skincare regimens for its magnificent skin benefits.

Aloe Vera has numerous benefits and is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants – along with other benefits like- nourishing our body and repairing damaged hair, it helps us to achieve clear and glowing skin.

It is one such multitasking beauty ingredient that you must include in all of your major skincare home remedies. There are several ways that you can use aloe vera gel for nourished and rejuvenating skin. Here are a few of them:

Prevents Acne
Aloe Vera is known to help cure and prevent pimples and acne breakouts.

Applying aloe vera gel daily helps to cleanse, and clear the skin and makes it free from pimples and other skin infections.

Anti-ageing Properties
Aloe Vera actively makes the skin elastic which prevents your skin from ageing, and reduces premature ...
... wrinkles and fine lines – this is achieved as aloe vera nourishes and tightens the skin, making the skin glow naturally and supple.

Tip: Mix Aloe Vera extracts or gel with gram flour and turmeric – and your face pack is ready which will help you to reduce dullness and leave your skin hydrating and fresh.

Lightens Scars
We’ve heard Aloe Vera helps lighten face scars, but how does it work?

Mix aloe vera gel with essential oils like- tea tree, jojoba and lemon oil and apply to your face on scars. Repeat it twice a day and avoid going out in the sun when you apply this remedy. Feels like too much work?

No problem, we have a solution for that as well!

Try Aloe Vera-Tea Tree Oil Hydration and Skin Repair Cream by Naija Organic. It is packed with the goodness of healing and restorative properties of essential oils and natural aloe vera. This leave-on day cream helps nourish, moisturize and rejuvenate your skin and lightens scars.

Reduces Uneven Skin Tone
Aloe Vera gel helps reduce blemishes and evens out skin tone. For this problem, applying a face mask can do wonders – take fresh aloe vera extracts or gel and mix it with papaya in equal quantities and apply it to your face. Use this mask at least twice a week for the best results.

Treats Sunburn
If you have sunburnt your skin, apply some aloe vera gel to heal and soothe it – because it acts as a protective barrier against UV exposure and it has a soothing and cooling effect along with anti-inflammatory properties. For a more cooling effect, you can add some peppermint essential oil and mix it properly before application.

Affordable Makeup Remover
Just when you thought the list of benefits ended here, we gave you yet another!

You can use Aloe Vera gel to remove makeup. And the best part? It leaves your skin hydrating and smooth and it works like magic on sensitive skin.

With this long list of advantages, Aloe Vera also helps to reduce stretch marks, heals wounds and can be used effectively as an aftershave lotion to soothe irritated skin.

Extracting fresh Gel from Plant

If you grow an Aloe Vera plant in your home, but do not use it? Then this is your cue to use its fresh gel directly from the plant to your face. But how, you ask?

Here’s how you can extract it:

For the first step, select a plump stem or leaf of the plant and cut it at the base using a knife.
Pro Tip: To avoid getting hurt by the thorns along the edges of the plant, avoid pulling or snapping it with your hands.

Once you get your chosen leaf from the Aloe Vera plant, slice off the edges with a knife to remove all the thorns. Then wash the remaining portion thoroughly with water.
The third step is to cut the portion into three or four parts, depending on its length.
The next step is to slice open the leaf where you can see the fresh gel of the plant.
Lastly, scoop out the gel with a spoon into a clean container and store it in the refrigerator for later use.
Tip: You can use the fresh gel immediately as well.

Growing up, we all have seen our mothers and grandmothers use Aloe Vera as a home remedy for their face as well as hair. This wonder plant has been used as a medicinal herb for ages, mainly due to its rich nutrients and immunity-boosting abilities. Get glowing and clear skin with this tropical plant today!
