Aiims Servers Hacked

It has been reported that the main servers of Delhi AIIMS may have been hacked from Hong Kong. Delhi Police has not made any official statement yet on the situation. They have not confirmed anything by now about the role of China and Pakistan being involved in the server hackings.
In the meantime, Delhi AIIMS is currently in motion to devise a cyber security policy for the hospital as well as other wings under the guidance from investigating agencies as their servers remained down following a cryptotrojan attack. Recommendations have been solicited from the investigating agencies regarding this. In addition, a chief information security officer (CISO) has been appointed on an ad hoc basis for emergency cyber security measures, that have to be taken at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in order to resume the e-Hospital services as well as preventing such incidents in the future.
The cyber attack, which has been a breaking news in India, is getting investigated by The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team within the Ministry ...
... of Electronics and Information Technology, Delhi cybercrime special cell, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre, Intelligence Bureau, Central Bureau of Investigation, National Forensic Sciences University, National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre, and National Investigation Agency, etc.
Moreover, an investigation has been launched by a special cell of Delhi Police into the alleged malware attack in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. In order to check the infected server of the AIIMS Delhi to identify the source of the malware attack, a team of the Central Forensic Lab (CFSL) has been pressed into the service, as informed by an official source.
In the latest news today, A joint team of CFSL Delhi and Ahmadabad is also trying to discover if the attack was commenced from outside the country. Earlier known as the Cyber Prevention Awareness Detection (CyPAD) unit, the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Delhi police, has also initiated a parallel investigation, as per the information from the IFSO sources. "The exact source of hacking is not known yet," they said.
The sources have informed about a formal investigation to determine how the AIIMS Delhi's servers were hacked has been commenced by Delhi Police, while a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also reached AIIMS Delhi and joined the investigation. "The CFSL's report is awaited, and the Delhi police will release an official statement only after the report," sources said.
