Chai Ghai team decided it was time to find a real cup of Indian chai after stopping by a few more tea shops. We started out at Chai Point in Delhi.
Chai Point Café had fun concepts, bright lights, and upbeat music. A design your own chai and Indian rusk, a cake that resembles a cookie and is dipped in chai, were among the featured chais they offered. We made the choice to attempt their masala chai. The ingredients in this chai are similar to those in Mummyji's Masala Chai. Although it had a very smooth flavour, the extra black pepper and cloves
Masala chai's goal is to awaken and warm you while simultaneously sweetening your palate with cinnamon and cardamom. The balance of the masala spices throughout the chai's flavour is what produces this harmony of sweet and sour flavours. Chai Ghai team observed that their version of masala chai contained less cardamom and cinnamon and had a very spicy finish. When we had finished our cup, it was time to move
As common as Starbucks is in India, Chaayos. The most infamous Chai in India had to be tried. Upon entering Chaayos, we were immediately struck by the stunning ...
... interior design, which featured chaiwala waggon wheels and cartoon chaiwalas.
On the wall were framed images of each masala spice used in their chais, which we also noticed. In addition to their desi masala chai, they also offered a variety of other chais, including ginger and cardamom chais. Both the ginger and desi masala teas had to be tried. We purchased a few packages of the delicious desi masala chai to take home and experiment with. Despite being sweeter than Chai Point's, it had a more spicy This, in my opinion, was caused by the nutmeg, which combined with the cinnamon to produce the cup's dominant flavour. However, we do believe mummyji's finishes better, with more of a cardamom aftertaste, but of course the recipe is based on our taste buds. This spicy chai was similar to mummyji's masala chai once more.
