In the days of the past, air conditioning units were done in one single unit, with all the above parts assembled and accommodated in one single box. On the other hand, nowadays air conditioning units are split into two parts one the inside unit and the other the outside unit working in tandem. Located in the outer half the compressor moves the refrigerant into the condensing coil in the form of high-pressure gas where the condenser coil eliminates heat from the refrigerant by absorption and converting it into a liquid state. This cooled liquid is circulated by the compressor in the outer half of the air conditioning unit. Now this cooled liquid moves to the evaporating coil located in the inside unit where the evaporating coil lowers its pressure thereby converting the cooled liquid back into a cooled gas. Likewise, the heat inside the area is absorbed by the evaporating coil and then it is again pumped into the condenser coil to repeat the cooling process all over again. This process takes place in cycles thereby cooling the specific targeted area. The supplementary action in the fan on the outside unit expels the hot air, while the inside unit fan circulates the cooled air into the intended area inside. The inclusion of the thermostat enables the adjustment of the desired temperature. The air filters in the inside unit filter debris and dust thereby ensuring clean air of good quality.
