A stock broker is a respective person who buys and sells stocks and securities for retail and institutional clients. Their services are compensated with commissions or fees. A stockbroker can work with fund managers, banks, or other financial institutions, either institutionally or retail.
What is the role of a stockbroker?
Stock brokers manage the wealth portfolios of their clients directly. Business development and client relations are their primary responsibilities.
Their role involves the following responsibilities:

Maintaining current knowledge of financial and tax legislation
Keeping an eye on stock market performance
Analyzing and researching specific markets.
In addition, the role requires understanding the client's investment needs and making appropriate recommendations.

All information, including risk, should be provided by brokers honestly. False information and exaggeration are unacceptable. As part of their job, they must also proactively search for clients, sell their firm's services, and manage the relationships ...
... that they have built with them. One way to accomplish this is to combine cold calling with networking.
Types of stock brokers:
It is imperative for traders to choose a stock broker based on their trading needs. Stockbrokers should help traders meet their trading needs by focusing on their trading strategy.
Stockbrokers can be classified into the following types:
Full-service brokers – These brokers offer full service to clients as well as pass on important exclusive information that only full-service clients have access to. Further, they simultaneously deliver personalized research and information on investment tailored to your needs.
Online brokers – Conduct research and present clients with investment charts, news, and a precise selection of stocks
Discount brokers - Taking care of orders placed by clients is their only responsibility. Their services do not include advice, research, or analysis.
Educational Qualifications/Requirements for Stockbrokers:
In most cases, Business administration or finance degrees are usually required for stock brokers.
Working in this field requires a strong understanding of financial laws and regulations, economics, accounting methods, currency, financial forecasting, and planning.
It is mandatory for the Stock brokers to pass the FINRA Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's General Securities Representative Exam.
Steps to Become a Stock Broker:
For most entry-level stock broker jobs, a bachelor's degree is required.  Successful stockbrokers possess a comprehensive understanding of equity markets through finance, business administration, or economics-related degrees. Internship experience in trading via a college program is often a desirable qualification but not necessarily a requirement.
Stockbroker career paths often require the following skills for entry-level traders or brokerage trainees:

Analytical skills are highly valued
Teamwork skills
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients
A high level of adaptability to a fast-paced environment is essential
Passion for driving profits with an entrepreneurial mindset

What is the Standard Stockbroker Salary?
In the past, brokerages have operated on a commission-based model, collecting fees from clients after successful transactions. But now, since several popular online trading platforms have removed transaction fees, new profit models have emerged, including brokerages receiving compensation based on transaction volume from exchanges. The salary of a stockbroker is determined by the firm, the clientele, and the broker's experience level.
