Have you already switched to Office 365 (cloud-based office applications)? But you have crucial emails and other data in your classic Outlook. This data may be critical to your organization, but how can you get it onto Office 365 without losing any data?

Don’t worry, by just importing your MS Outlook PST file into Office 365, you can easily access them. In this article, we will go through the process of how to import PST to Office 365 without any effort.

Is PST unknown to you?

If the term PST is totally unknown to you, then without going into more details, let me first describe PST. Basically, the classical MS Outlook application saves all of its data in a special formatted file in the device's specific directory. This special file format is known as PST.
So, what do you understand? It means all your emails and attachments associated with that Outlook email are saved in the PST format on your device. However, copying that PST file and saving it in any safe location is a great and effective way to keep a backup.

Why is the PST to Office 365 migration needed?

With the newer technology, ...
... everybody is getting updated. So, if you don’t do that, you will get out of the race. Generally, Office 365 is widely used as a cloud-based office application program. It includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and all other office applications.

On the other hand, the classical MS Outlook saves all its data to a local directory. The PST to Office 365 migration is needed for a few reasons.
First, the PST contains a lot of data that is no hardly needed or relevant for everyday’s work. For example, if you have been using Outlook for work, you may have a lot of emails, contacts, and calendar entries from your work life. If you switch to Office 365, you will no longer need to keep all of this information in your PST.

Second, the PST is not compatible with Office 365. If you try to open a PST file in Office 365, it will give you an error message. Finally, the PST may be difficult to access if you need to access it from a different computer or device. If you switch to Office 365, all of your data will be stored in the cloud, so you can access it from any computer or device.
