Whether you have just decided to prepare for the CAT exam with the help of the best online teachers for CAT preparation or you are already in the middle of it, this article will assist you in dealing with a very common ailment among CAT aspirants.

The CAT exam is an aptitude test with no prescribed syllabus. The paper was created by some of the country's brightest minds from top management schools. This makes the exam not only one of the most difficult in the country, but also one of the most unpredictable and demanding. Because the CAT exam is intended to assess a candidate's mental abilities, the only way to prepare is to keep the mind sharp. Students frequently get off track while studying due to a variety of factors such as procrastination, lack of motivation, lack of concentration, time constraints, and so on. This causes anxiety and stress.

Preparing for the exam and maintaining consistency can be difficult. So here are some important pointers to remember as you prepare. These are general tips that will apply to almost everyone, whether you are in your final year, on leave, or working.

1. Think and ...
... Reflect
This means setting aside some quiet time for yourself (preferably in the morning) to reflect on your MBA, your preparation, what you will do today, your goals/mission, life, and important things or decisions. It sounds simple and easy, but we rarely do it. This will not only reinforce your determination to achieve your goals, but it will also motivate you internally. External motivation will always fade because its effect is fleeting; what will keep you going through the months of hard work is your determination, will, and mental fortitude. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint, and you must be focused.

2. Get organized
Once you begin preparing, it is difficult to keep up due to lack of concentration, and it is all too easy to procrastinate. The key to dealing with this is to become organized and scheduled. The mind requires new experiences and becomes bored easily, so provide some variety. Incorporate three elements into your schedule: WORK, EXERCISE, and ENTERTAINMENT. Schedule it once you've decided on your aspects.
So, feel free to create your own schedule, but keep it simple and leave time to rest, exercise, and socialize. This will also help you keep your mental sanity.

Once you've established your schedule, stick to it for a few days and you'll get used to it. Following it will become second nature, and it will be simple to stay organized, concentrate, and study. The beauty of this plan is that you are more likely to stick to it because there is variety, structure, and time for everything.

If you work from home, try to schedule 2-3 hours before and 2-3 hours after work. There is only one thing left to do: use point number one to decide what you will study/practice today during your work hours.

3. Form study groups
Walking the road alone can become tiresome after a while. As a result, it is best to form study groups with people who share your interests and with best home tutors for CAT preparation. Such peer groups can be found at your college, coaching institute, or even on social media platforms. There are numerous planning groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram. These groups are extremely beneficial for finding motivation, dispelling doubts, discussing current events and other issues, and so on. Members can also assist you in staying up to date on new notifications, deadlines, and exam updates.

4. Test yourself
While you're studying, keep testing yourself with chapter-by-chapter tests, sectional tests, mock tests, and full-length tests. These tests provide you with goals and benchmarks that you must meet or exceed. These motivate you to keep working hard and improving your performance. Analyzing tests aid in identifying key actionables that must be prioritized and in reducing distractions.
