This disturbs the structure and strength of the bone, and leads to pain, loss of purpose and sometimes bleeding and hurt around the site. Our skeleton is made up of bones. Bones are a type of connection tissue, reinforced with calcium and bone cells. Bones have an easier center, called bone marrow, where blood cells are made. The key functions of our skeleton are supportive our body, allowing movement and protecting our inner organs.
There are different types of bone fractures. Some are simpler than others, dependent on the strength and direction of the force, the particular bone contained, and the person’s age and overall health. Mutual bone fractures contain wrist, ankle, hip – hip fractures happen most often in elder people.

• Apply a splint to support the limb. Splints do not have to be professionally manufactured. Items like made of wood boards and folded magazines can work for some fractures. Immobilize the limb above and below the fracture.
• Use a sling to support an arm or clavicle fracture.
• Raise the fractured area if possible and put on a cold pack to decrease swelling and pain.
