Water treatment depicts those processes, which make water cleaner and acceptable for a desired result. This compromises of drinking water, medical use, industrial processes, and many other uses. The aim of all water treatment process is to eradicate all the impurities in the water, or decrease the intensity of such contaminants so the water becomes appropriate for its desired end-use. One such use is restoring water utilized in the natural environment without unfavorable ecological effect.

The processes concerned in purifying water for drinking is parting solids using physical processes such as settling and filtration, and chemical processes such as disinfection and coagulation. Biological processes are also engaged in the treatment of wastewater and these processes may include, aerated lagoon, activated sludge or slow sand filters.

The amalgamation of following processes used for municipal drinking water treatment worldwide:
Pre-chlorination - for algae control and arresting any biological growth
Filtration - removing particles from water
Coagulation - for flocculation
Aeration - along ...
... with pre-chlorination for removal of dissolved iron and manganese
Sedimentation - for solids separation, that is, removal of suspended solids trapped
Desalination - Process of removing salt from the water
Disinfection - for killing bacteria

An Electro Chlorinator is a device, which carries out the chlorination process in water. It generates chlorinated water from seawater or brine, by using electricity. The disinfectant used as cleaning agent in a heat exchanger is chlorinated water. No other chemicals are required. A low voltage DC current when passed through two graphite electrodes inundated in seawater, electrolysis takes place and sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is generated instantly. This is categorized as a non-hazardous chemical although still a very effective disinfectant.

Chlorinators are contraptions used to bring in chlorine into water. They add chlorine to water for the purpose of disinfection. Chlorinators add chlorine to sewage to wipe out bacteria and eliminate odors. Chlorinators are simple to manage. Easy functioning, joined with chlorine's ability to eliminate bacteria within the required time, makes chlorinators important. Besides, chlorine provides long-term shelter against certain bacteria and is cheap.

Chlorinators are also used in swimming pools. Swimming pools can be a haven for dangerous pathogens that flourish in the water and have the capability to jeopardize the health of swimmers. Sometimes, bacteria found in swimming pools can cause rashes or illness.

Gas manifolds offer a secure, cost-effective mean of linking and altering compressed gas cylinders by eradicating the need to constantly manage the regulator during the cylinder change.
