If you have a car then you should take proper care of it. However, a sagging headliner is a common problem that can be caused due to many reasons. If you are also experiencing the same problem and looking for tips to repair car roof liners then keep reading this article till the end.

Your car's roof's cloth portion is called the headliner or headlining. It provides a lovely finish to the roof, muffles noise, and blocks out the cold. A so-called "sagging headliner" is caused by the headlining cloth over the time separating from its backing board. The adhesive holding it to the backing begins to disintegrate over time, which causes drooping to develop. If the headline becomes moist, the process moves forwards more quickly. As it becomes wet, the adhesive will disintegrate. The point at which you will need to get the sagging addressed is when it becomes so terrible that it is in the way.

Use Glue for Fixing
If you have noticed the headliner is sagging partially ...
... like from the edges then you can use glue for immediate fixing. In order to guarantee that the glue is applied uniformly, it is advisable to use speciality headlining adhesive in a spray can. However, some DIYers choose to reattach the headliner using hot glue. However, if you want to do it on your own then take your headlining panel out of your car and remove the fabric. Be sure to use adhesive carefully.

Use Staples and Hair Spray
If the first trick does not work well, then you can move towards the next one. Though this tip seems like a very unusual procedure but trusts me there is any evidence that this process works so well. The very first thing you should do is to staple the car roof liner that you are going to repair. Be sure to take a stapler gun that works well on your car. Be sure that a conventional stapler will not be working for fixing the liner. After that is finished, apply hairspray to the headliner and let it dry. After drying, take out the staples. If you have an old automobile that you can't afford to invest a lot of money in and are seeking a cheap, semi-permanent fix, you might want to give this approach a try.
