Florida Career Colleges offer a variety of courses for those looking to expand their knowledge and further their education. Program Levels

There are both certificate level programs as well as degree level programs available in Florida. Additionally, degree level courses can be either bachelor level, masters level or doctorate level. It is important to understand the differences between these levels and what they involve.

Certificate Programs

These programs take the least amount of time to complete, and also offer the most general education. If you're looking for a basic understanding of a subject from a program that can be completed in a shorter period of time, than a certificate level program could be for you.

Bachelor Degree Programs

Bachelor degree programs take longer than certificate programs, but they involve more information about a subject. Getting a bachelor degree can be an ends to itself, ...
... or you can use it to build up to a masters degree or a doctorate degree.

Masters Degree Programs

Masters level programs expand upon the knowledge gained in bachelor degree programs, and because of this they generally require a bachelor degree to enroll. Requirements vary by school, so check the requirements of the school that interests you.

Doctorate Degree Programs

Doctorate degrees are the highest level of education available in Florida's colleges. These programs build upon not only bachelor degrees but master's degrees as well. Similar to master's degrees, there are qualifications to meet to enroll in doctorate level courses. If you're interested in a doctorate, check the admission requirements of the schools that have your interest.

Specialization Areas

There are many areas in which you can get a certificate or degree. Colleges generally have specialized schools for their departments. This means that there is a Florida Business School for the students interested in business, and a separate School of Professional Psychology for the students interested in Psychology. This enables schools to centralize their departments and keep their students organized. So whether you're interested in business, psychology, education, or criminal justice, you should be able to find a college that offers it.
