What do tissue banks do?
A tissue bank or tissue biobank is a specialized institution that collects, processes, stores, and distributes human tissues for allograft transplantation, medical research, and educational purposes. It is a licensed location for storing human tissues for future use. Human tissue collected from patients and donors is well processed and stored in the form of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks, curls, or slides for long-term preservation. Also, the samples are stored at very low temperatures as frozen tissues in liquid nitrogen tanks at human tissue banks. In short, tissue banks act as the library of human tissues and organs for future use.

Human tissue research is gaining more importance
In diagnosing, treating, or conducting research, the type of human tissue or organs extracted from patients, healthy donors, and human cadavers plays a vital role. Studies on human tissues are necessary for translational research to expand our knowledge of the structure and functioning of human tissues and the impact of various diseases on them. To exemplify this, studies on solid ...
... tumor tissue samples also aid in shedding light on the biology of cancer, the nature of tumors, and the development of the disease and its progression. Today, studies on the cancer tissues collected from cancer patients through biopsies or surgical resections play a prominent role in translational and precision medicine research. Human tissue research helps in unlocking the secrets of how individual difference makes some predisposed to a specific illness, especially cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc., which is the basis for precision medicine. The study of human tissues is essential for biomedical research.

Extensive Tissue Bank Inventory from Central BioHub
Studies on human tissues can reveal various details regarding the morphology and biology of the human body tissues and organs. As we have already discussed, human tissue samples collected from patients serve as a huge repository for the body's molecular and histopathological data. Examining human tissue samples can describe the patient’s disease journey to the researchers to aid precise judgments. Because of this, biomedical research on human tissue is becoming increasingly popular and the leading resource for research on cancer and uncommon diseases.

Accelerating human tissue research all over the world, Central BioHub offers thousands of genetically diverse human tissue samples for research and development. It has one of the most comprehensive tissue bank inventories with a variety of human tissue samples, including fresh frozen tissues and organs, solid tumor samples, FFPE tissue blocks, and healthy human tissues available for online purchase through www.centralbiohub.de.

Samples are clinically verified by a board of distinguished pathologists and available with richly characterized data relevant to the studies. Moreover, the samples are well preserved at our partner's tissue bank and immediately available for online purchase.
